How does a Move to Cloud Impact Compliance goals?

AKA: Compliance and / in Cloud

I recently got asked by a customer, how would adopting Cloud services impact their Compliance. It’s a broad and a very good question.

In reality, this question implies a deep understanding of a few, core, modern IT concepts.

First off, requires understanding of Cloud services and its benefits. I’ve discussed this before, here.

It also requires understanding of Information Security Management, more specifically, Compliance — which I also covered in a previous article, available here.

With the knowledge of these, we must then derive the answer by analyzing them through Cloud and Compliance challenges.
