KPIs are Stakeholders

We measure what is happening, then we have metrics.
Some of the metrics are more important than others
Some of them are key to understand what is happening and if they change, a big part of your project changes. Those are Key Performance Indicators.

Each KPI gives us precious information, they are indeed like a stakeholder. They give but also demand. Their changes in your charts can be translated to words. They are a difficult stakeholder because they are like people who avoids saying things directly and you need to go deep into the problem to understand it.

So, if KPIs are a difficult and very important stakeholder. How many do I want to have?

I see companies having tens of KPIs, that is like having tens of bosses.
