Debug chrome cast receiver play errors

This article about debugging chrome cast application errors we get once the sender app (IOS or Android) has requested playback to cast app. It also shows how to log whats going on in the receiver app in cast device.

Steps to get logs from chrome cast app :

Now open chrome browser and enter chrome://inspect/

5. Be patient, you should now see all the available cast devices under the same wifi connection as your computer. You can tap on settings icon to change config for each of these device, or to setup a new device.

6. Open a new tab, and enter chrome://inspect/
If the cast app is running on one of the devices, it shows an inspect link

Tap on inspect link and it should open another window showing TV app details and a lot of tabs for debugging.

7. Go to Console tab to see the logs, it should print the TV app logs and Chromecast player logs.

8. Enter below command, n console to get additional logs,

Checking cast.player.api.ErrorCode :

You may typically see below log, [cast.player.api.Host] :

000 → HTTP error code
