My List of Top 3 Pro Leagues in Asia

Bago ako maging isang successful businessman sa industriya, pinangarap ko maging isang sportsman. Madalas kong sinusundan ang sports industry lalo na ang basketball. Kabilang ako sa mga lalakeng nahuhumaling at naaliw sa mga kaganapan kapag basketball league na ang nasa TV.

Isa sa mga madalas subaybayan nating mga Pilipino ay ang Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (o MPBL) kung saan naglalaro ang regional man’s semi-professional basketball players sa buong bansa. Hindi ko maitatanggi na ito ang pinaka nasa unang listahan ko na tinututukan, at sa blog na ito ibabahagi ko ang ibang pang Asian leagues na puwede mo din subaybayan para:

Bilang sports director ng Mighty Sports, I think out of the box. I get analysis, ideas, and suggestion from outside leagues. Katulad na lamang nang pag-subaybay ko ng ibang teams. Naging bahagi na siya ng evolution ng team na tine-train ko.

Para sakin, ito ang Top Three Pro Leagues dito sa Asia:

Syempre unang una na dito ang sariling atin na PBA. From 1975 up to now, isa ang basketball team natin na kinikilala sa labas ng bansa. If we compare PBA to other professional leagues, hindi tayo geographically-based, instead teams are sponsored by corporations. Take for example, Mighty Sports, sponsored by yours truly, then walang ‘home’ and ‘away’ games. Pangalawa, PBA doesn’t crown a single champion every season, whereas we do have conferences instead.

Para sa akin, ito ay isa sa mga pinakamagaling na leagues simply because this is where the famous Chinese basketball athlete, Yao Ming started. Dito rin nagsimula ang iba pang domestic players na sikat na ngayon sa NBA.

The Chinese Baskteball Association just finished their 23rd season crowning the Liaoning Flying Leopards bilang champion ngayong taon. Unang pagkakataon ito para sa Liaoning, at marami sa mga fans at supporters nila ang itinuturing ang pagkapanalo nila na big break. Noong mga nakaraan na season, ang Guangdong Southern Tigers, Bayi Rockets at Beijing Ducks ang nangunguna, this coming next season, makikita natin sino naman ang magwawagi.

Bukod sa husay at talento ng mga players sa league na ito, kilala rin ang Japanese B. League dahil sa mga young athletes nito. Pagkatapos ng 2007–2018 season, the Toyoma Grouses and Kumamoto Volters ay nalipat sa second division, habang ang Akita Northern Happinets at Rizing Zephyr Fukoka ay promoted. Fact for this league, sila ang pinaka malaking professional league sa Asia na may total 45 teams.

Bukod sa top 3 ko na ito, of course may iba pa din ako sinusubaybayan na leagues. This is how I work as sports director for my team. Marami din kayo matutunan when you follow a lot of personalities in sports, hopefully your ideation of sports will expand more. Try to follow these three Asian leagues din. But the best of all, of course is yung sariling atin — ang PBA!
