Thanks for writing this.

Not quite sure how commenting to a story works in this format; but it’s saying to title and post a picture. So, the one above reflects what I hope will happen, signifying sun emerging from the clouds. As to what I want to say, here goes:

Right now, I’m struggling not to feel sorry for myself. Reminding myself that so many others are in this, too, this ocean of tears you speak of. And Dr. Ford: her life and that of her family, turned upside down, yet again, 30 years later.

I read the link below earlier; found it helpful. Maybe it’ll help you too, and make it clear to the men you love that our experience … that of women and non-binary … our moment-to-moment lives, are colored by forever guarding against the possibility of assault and/or sexual violence.

Each new piece I read brings it to the fore again. And yet, that’s where I am … and cannot look away.

Reading yours brought me to tears.

Peace to you. Peace to all of us. Peace, especially, to Dr. Ford and her family … for all that she went through then … and still goes through with repercussions from speaking out.
